Description
The Dead Stick Baits Dead Stretch 4″ is a compact finesse curly tail worm combining a slender, ribbed body with an oversized curved tail designed to generate movement with very little effort.
The fine ribbing along the body increases texture and water displacement, while the thin curly tail comes alive on the fall, during a slow retrieve or with subtle movements of the rod tip. This combination is well established in finesse worm designs: comparable 4″ ring worms use segmented bodies to create additional water movement while their thin curly tails provide action on the fall and when twitched.
At 4 inches, the Dead Stretch is particularly well suited to finesse fishing when bass are pressured, inactive or feeding on smaller forage. Its tail can continue producing movement at slow speeds, allowing anglers to keep the bait in the strike zone without having to work it aggressively. Similar ribbed curly-tail worms are specifically designed to generate action even with minimal movement.
The Dead Stretch is highly versatile and can be fished on a Texas rig, Carolina rig, Mojo rig, drop shot or shaky head. It can be dragged along the bottom, hopped around structure or worked slowly through and alongside vegetation when a more subtle bass fishing presentation is required.
