Description
The Dead Stick Baits Wingman 4″ is a versatile soft plastic baitfish imitation designed for finesse presentations when bass are keyed in on smaller forage.
Featuring a slender minnow-style body, subtle side fins and a split forked tail, the Wingman creates a natural baitfish profile in the water. Split-tail soft plastics are particularly effective because the tail can respond to small twitches and changes in retrieve speed without requiring an exaggerated swimming action. Similar 4″ split-tail minnows are commonly used for finesse and baitfish-oriented presentations.
The streamlined body lends itself to a range of rigging options. Fish it weightless and work it with short twitches for an erratic fleeing-baitfish presentation, rig it on a drop shot for a more controlled finesse approach, or pair it with a jighead to target fish throughout the water column. Soft jerkbait and split-tail minnow profiles are also commonly fished on weighted hooks and other finesse rigs.
At 4 inches, the Wingman offers a compact profile that’s particularly useful when bass are feeding on smaller baitfish or when fishing pressure calls for a more subtle presentation.
